Customizable Methylation Assay Panels
Our methylation assay panels cover groups of genomic loci that are known to be related to tumorigenesis, stem cell differentiation, Treg differentiation, and more. These assays have been individually designed and validated with Pyrosequencing over the past fifteen years at EpigenDx.
Using targeted Next-Gen Bisulfite Sequencing, we can sequence one entire panel covering many genomic regions in a single run. Or, using Pyrosequencing, we can analyze the methylation levels of just a few select target regions. Both services are customizable. Target regions can be excluded from or added to pre-existing panels to suit your research needs.

FOXP3 Methylation Panel
The FOXP3 DNA methylation panel targets regions of the genome that are differentially methylated in regulatory T-cells (Tregs). While these Treg-specific demethylated regions (TSDR) are most commonly associated with the FOXP3 gene, differentially methylated regions are also found in genes constitutively expressed in Tregs, such as CTLA4, TNFRSF18 (GITR), IL2RA (CD25), IRF4, IKZF2, IKZF4 and PDCD1.
Cancer Methylation Panel
The Cancer DNA methylation panel targets 28 genes exhibiting tumor-specific abnormal DNA methylation, including BRCA1 and CDKN2A. Each of assay was individually validated using FFPE samples, but a subset of the panel was also validated using cell-free serum plasma DNA.
Stem Cell Methylation Panel
EpigenDx’s Stem Cell Panel covers 33 human genes, including pluripotency-associated genes, DNA methyltransferases, DNA repeats, imprinted genes, genes involved in X-chromosome inactivation, and cell differentiation regulators.
Immunology Methylation Panel
EpigenDx’s Immunology Panel covers 10 human genes, including genes coding for cytokine signaling molecules, interleukins (IL1B, IL2, IL4, IL6, etc.), cytokine receptors and cell death factors related to lymphocyte activity.
