EpigenDx is a molecular diagnostic company specializing in the analysis of DNA methylation and gene expression located in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.

We are looking to fill a Research Associate role. The qualified individual will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology or related field with at least 2 years experience working in QA or a regulated lab environment. They should also have experience in molecular biology with outstanding organizational and computer skills to conduct molecular biology and epigenetic studies. In addition, direct experience in PCR, real-time PCR, and NextGen sequencing is preferred. The candidate is also expected to assist in daily laboratory task such as sample receiving and logging, product manufacturing, assay report generation, and data analysis. We are looking for someone who is able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to the changing needs and priorities of a high throughput diagnostic facility.

Research Associate Qualifications/Requirements

• At least 2 years professional experience in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, or a related field
• Solid technical ability and hands-on experience with DNA methods including purification, analytical and preparative gel electrophoresis, enzymatic manipulation, PCR, sequencing, and molecular cloning
• Experience in establishing and performing PCR and real-time PCR expression assays is required
• Experience with NextGen sequencing is preferred
• Experience setting up and running micro-arrays is a plus
• Experience with public bioinformatics data bases is preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills required
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Creativity, scientific curiosity, and the desire and ability to improve existing technology preferred
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff required

Sales & Marketing Support Specialist

• B.A./B.S. in Life Sciences or A.A./A.S. in Life Sciences with applicable experience required.
• Excellent communication skills, positive attitude and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff required.
• Experience with DNA methylation analysis, mutation analysis, and technologies with real-time PCR digital PCR, GeneChip Array, and NextGen sequencers preferred
• At least one year of sales experience or some level of customer service experience required
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with website development and maintenance is a plus.
• Must be willing to take initiative by promoting laboratory services and products to our new and existing customer base through email, phone calls, appointments with clients, trade shows, and more.
